Chag Pesach Sameach (Happy Passover)!
Passover begins this Saturday night, so what better way to start than with a Passover-themed update?
For those unfamiliar, Passover commemorates the Exodus, the story of the Israelites’ journey from slavery in Egypt to freedom in the land of Israel. It’s told in the Bible, Cecil DeMille's The Ten Commandments, and Rugrats Passover.
Central to the Passover Seder is the Haggadah (Hebrew for “the telling”), which introduces us to four children, each of whom has a different approach to learning: the Wise, the Wicked, the Simple, and the one who does not know how to ask.
These four personas show up in every organization when it comes to marketing and communications. And let’s be honest, I may have been each one at some point. 😉

The Wise Child
Asks: “How do we connect with the right people who care about our work?”
Our take: Smart marketing is about audience insight, not guesswork. We help you identify your core supporters and engage them with tailored messaging.
Tip: Do audience research, segment your email list, and speak directly to what your audience values.
👹The Wicked Child
Asks: “Can you call a friend and get us into The New York Times? Know any influencers who can make us go viral?”
Our take: There are no magic bullets. Real influence comes from smart strategy that includes earned media, owned content, and clear messaging working together.
Tip: Focus on fundamentals. Viral doesn’t always equal valuable.
🤔The Simple Child
Asks: “What’s email marketing? How do we write an op-ed?”
Our take: No shame! Everyone starts somewhere. Whether you need monthly updates or thought leadership content, we build systems that grow your audience.
Tip: Start small. Be clear, consistent, and be yourself.
🤷🏼The Child Who Does Not Know How to Ask
Asks: "Won't people notice? We worked so hard on this.", assuming great work markets itself. It doesn’t.
Our take: If you don't tell your story, no one else will. We help you explain your value so others understand it, support it, and share it.
Tip: Translate your work into real-world impact. Lead with “why” before diving into “what.”
What This Means for You:
🎯 Know your audience and what matters to them.
✍️ Focus on strong, clear storytelling rather than “going viral."
📬 Use tools like email and blog posts to engage and inform consistently.
🧭 Explain why your work matters and how it impacts others.
